I would think using protection would be your safest bet. Dunno why you'd even be thinking about sex when you've been ill though :p

That amount of time (4.5 hours) should have been long enough for the pill to be absorbed into your body. However, this can be affected by food and your metabolism in general. While you're probably completely protected, using a back-up method for 7 days isn't going to do any harm.

The pill has had time to disolve into your bloodstream within an hour or so. I was on the pill and got sick and threw up about 20 minutes after taking it. I took it with a meal. That was the night I conceived. I am now 8 months pregnant. So your best bet is to use a condom at least for a day or so.

Dont worry 4 1/2 is plently long enough i did it too and just checked with my doctor and she said it was fine.
