Good morning,
I'm obviously new to this board and very curious about my symptoms...could I possibly have MS? I figured somebody here could give me a little insight. I'm afraid to go to a doctor with a barrage of symptoms and have him/her take years to diagnose me. If my symptoms don't sound close to MS, please feel free to be frank with me, because honestly, it's not something I want, but I do want answers.
For the past few years, but most frequently in the last year, I've had the following symptoms:
1. Both legs, usually upper, ache. Sometimes continuously even without much exercise. They're also sluggish. Gets worse throughout the day.
2. My lower back is aching. Feels more like the nerves (or top of hip bone) instead of muscle.
3. I've had urinary/bladder problems for which no urologist can diagnose. They simply say I have "Urethral Syndrome." I retain liquid, go often during the night, can't fully empty, etc.
4. Constipation
5. In the past 6 months I've had cognitive problems; can't focus, slow to learn, mind wanders, etc.
6. Depression.
7. Extreme fatigue hits me like a lightening bolt - it doesn't come on gradually.
8. Heat drives me up a wall. I can't even think when it's hot.
Well, I guess that's enough whining from me ;) Thanks for "listening" and for any information or advice you may have.

Howdy,
I'm no expert on MS but have been sharing at this board for awhile and I think everyone here would say that there are no symptoms that are foolish and that you should go to your doctor with list in hand of what your sx are. From all that I've read here and elsewhere, and heard from doctors and RNs, your sx sound like they could be MS, but they could be from a host of other issues. A pinched nerve in the back? Vit B12 deficiency? more that I can't think of right now. So, hang tough and start the process, is what I'd say. And one thing I'd recommend is to ask to see a neurologist sooner than later. I wish I'd seen one a year ago! Anyway, wanted to answer your post and offer encouragement. Keep visiting here, this is a great support group. I think it would help you a lot to be involved here. And we'll be praying for you! We're all great pray-ers!!
blessings,
Shad
