Go to the ER! It's better to be safe than sorry! If you are having trouble breathing like you've stated in your post, and your doctor is out of town go to the ER, and receive treatment. Hope ya feel better. I have a little case of exercise induced asthma, and I have an albuterol inhaler and I take singulair at bedtime to help with my allergies. I always forget to take my albuterol before I go out walking, and I see the effects, so I need to start taking it before I go walking.

You need to go to the ER. Severe cases of asthma which isn't relieved by inhalers, needs immediate medical attention. Let us know how you get on.

People did answer. They told you go to the ER. I remember seeing similar posts like this of yours in the past, and you have been told to go to the ER several times. I recommend you follow that advice. The people on this board are not medical professionals, and even if we were, we couldn't possibly treat you over the internet. If you are indeed having these problems, you need to go to the ER and stop posting here until you know what is going and and have been to the ER.

Regionals I'm sorry I'm only just replying now. I haven't been online in a few days.

Going back on the medication will help but you need to give consideration to how long it takes the medication to work and be in your system. Some works straight away and some takes hours.

Your doctor is being helpful....kind of. But if I was your doctor and any patient of mine was complaining of breathing problems, I would send them right to ER. You really don't need to worry about ER. They'll put you on a nebuliser, give you medication that works and possibly chest Xrays. This will all make you better. You need to be at ER! :)

I understand completely how you feel. I have had attacks where I couldn't breathe, called 911, and by the time the ambulance got here I was better. Then just as they were about to drive away, here it comes again and so I went to the ER. Do what the doctor says, but when you can't breathe GO to the ER asap.
Hope you are feeling better. :)

Hi. I am late to this post. I hope you are feeling better. Please take the advice of all who have told you to go to the ER if you are having severe breathing problems. Several years ago I had an asthma attack that didn't go away after I used my rescue inhaler. My lungs just kept getting tighter and tighter. I called the ambulance and believe to this day that had I not I would have died. Never ever mess with your asthma. I would not hesitate to go again if I got that bad. My husband is in the military and each time we move I check to see where the nearest hospital is. I think it is always good to be prepared. Best wishes to you.
