Hello! On my big toes, my nails are really orange looking. I thought it was from wearing polish all the time. So, I have not worn polish for 3 weeks now. However, the color is still there. Also, there are these white spots on them and also on a couple of my others. The big toes' nails are also very brittle and peeling looking.
I was hoping someone would be able to give me insight on this and also recommend something for it. I don't think it's a "fugus", but I don't know. I could cover it with polish, but I would rather not. Thanks for any help!

You might try buffing the nail surface with a 240 grit white buffing block to remove the stain. If the nails are still discolored, it might be fungus - especially if the nail plate seems to be crumbling rather than peeling.

Thanks for the reponse! I will try the buffing to see will it work. But, do you think it would be ok to put a clear nail strengthener/polish on them? Thanks again!

First, buff the nails to see if you can easily remove the stain. If you can, then you ccan still wear polish, but do use a good quality base coat first. The darker the pigments in the polish, the easier it is for them to stain the nail plate surface. You should remove the polish at least every two weeks and reapply. If you notice staining, buff lightly to remove the stain.
