Hello, my DH and I have been TTC for about 3 years now and started taking clomid 50mg last October and have since increased to 100mg. My RE has suggested that I start taking Follistim injections along with my clomid and HCG shot. I have not actually started taking the shot yet and have actually taken 2 (or maybe even 3) months off because I just really needed a break from the whole thing and really wanted to start out fresh since we were changing our proceedure a bit. I am really not exactly sure where I am in my cycle, but I think I should be starting AF any day now, I sure can feel it in my breast! Oh how wonderful it has been to take some time off, and let me tell you, I truely took it off too and did not even think about TTC!!

Anyhow, I am a little nervous about the follistim and was wondering if anyone else has taken this and what the outcome has been for you? Has anyone successfully become pregnant while taking this medication.

Look forward to hearling from any of you!

Thanks!
Jayme

Hi my husband and I have not been preventing but not agressivly trying every other day of the month either, for about 9mo- 1yr now nothing. My husband is 33, I'm 28 we are eager and ready/ however my gyno made my spouse get tested- 1st test he was slighlty below normal on his motility only. 2 months later repeated the test and same thing. So I go back to my gyno and she wants to start me on Clomid 50 mg. I start the 27th- 28 of each month, so I am going to begin it end of Nov on that menstrual cycle. I was wondering if this process sounds right or if I am wasting my time and should start the other processes of going to a specialists. I know everyone is different and maybe Clomid will work, but I have the feeling I'm not lucky, so with experience what should I do?????????

I was wondering if some of you who are going thru the process of having follistim injections/ tubes cleaned out etc if your dr has told you why they were blocked before referring you to the procedures. I am wondering if it is a procedure I may have to do in the future and just wondered what some of the causes are.......
