View Full Version : Lump on bottom of big toe - what is it?

Hello there, I have a lump/bump on the bottom of my big toe (at the base of the toe pad.) It's been there for about a month and it hurts when I press on it or stand on it. I normally wear shoes that fit correctly but right before the bump appeared I wore a pair of high heels for one night that hurt my feet a little. Could this be a corn or a plantar's wart or something? It feels like a really deeply embedded blister and the area is slightly discolored but there's nothing that really appears at skin level (no obvious wart or sore or anything.) Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Hello again! Just in case anyone reads this - I figured I'd follow up. A podiatrist today confrimed that the lump on the bottom of my toe is, indeed, a plantar's wart. It should take 3-5 treatments at the doctor to get rid of the little bugger, then I should be all set. :)
