First of all, pregnancy is always a small possibility. If you take the pill perfectly, it's very unlikely that you'll become pregnant, but it can't be said that you absolutely won't "become pregnant."

Moving on, your question should be covered in the package insert that came with your pills. Read this insert. Most birth control pills are completely effective after 7 days of PERFECT use.

if you start the pack on the FIRST day of your period, you are protected immediately. but if you start your pills at any other time, you have to wait 7 days.
i think this pill is great. ive been on 4 different types, and this is my favorite.
