Last week me and my gf were having sex for the second time that night and the condom came off inside of her before I ejaculated, thankfully we noticed and were able to retrieve the condom, replace with new and continue. She had been on ortha evra bc patch, up until her last period(she ran out, wants to switch to pill or shot). Basically she'd been off the patch for 2 or 3 weeks since her last period and I'm wondering what the odds are of her getting pregnant being off bc such a short time. Also, how high is the danger of pregnancy when a condom comes off inside her like that. Needless to say we are both a bit stressed out about it right now, thats the first time thats happened(always used condom even with patch). Oh, she hasn't missed her period yet, its due this week or next(she didn't have last listed on calander like normal). Thanks in advance.

had the same thing happen to me twice. was verry worried but nothing happened. i even had the eraly signs of pregnency but like i said everything came out ok

I assume that the condom you were using that came off was NOT the one that you used for the first act of lovemaking? If so, and you hadn't yet ejaculated, and put a new condom on before resuming, then I'd say your chances of conception are pretty low. I say pretty low, and not impossible, because it's possible that pre-ejaculate was in the condom.

How long ago did this happen? If it's not been five days yet, then your girlfriend could get the morning after pill. It's most effective if taken within 72 hours but will have some degree of efficiency for up to five days after.

Also, for future reference, as SOON as a woman goes off birth control she is no longer protected by it. It doesn't matter how long she was on it, as soon as she goes more then seven days without taking a pill, using the patch or the ring, she is at risk of pregnancy from unprotected sex.

its been just over a week now already. Yes it was of coarse a new condom. And I'm going to be very scared until she gets her period
