bghjul,
I had a prostatectomy in March, regular surgery, not robotic. I too had the nerves spared. I started taking Cialis immediately, a half pill just about every day. I've had no success so far with resuming normal erections. I started using the injections in June, (I used Edex), but had such a painful time with them that my doctor told me just this Tuesday that I must stop using them. I had lost about 2 inches from my normal erections, and he said I was likely developing Peyreonnes (sp?) which is basically scar tissue. He had prescribed a VED in July, and I got that, but it hasn't worked well for me so far. So, I'm back to nothing at the moment. I have had some very slight semi-erections, but nothing sufficient to use. At least it seems to be trying to "wake up".. I continue to use the Cialis every day. I've tried Viagra, and it doesn't help either, at this point, and both Cialis and Viagra worked well before the surgery. So, I think you'll find that in time, it will work, but it may take awhile. You're Pretty young, so it may work much sooner for you..I'm 58. Certainly, you might ask your urologist about the injections if you feel like you don't want a prolonged wait. The actual needle part is painless, and the erections were great, but I just had some reaction to the Alprostadil. You may find that you have no problem whatever...it's worth a try.
As for the incontinence, I'm now in my 3rd week without wearing any pads. I was beginning to think I'd never get there, but sure enough I have. Only a few slight little "accidents" but for the most part that's back to normal. I had my PSA checked this week, and it remains 0.

Good luck in your recovery.

I had retro-pubic nerve, sparing surgery and started having consistant results with Viagra six months after surgery. At 14 months out I am beginning to have natural erections.

Thanks for the reply. I was concerned. Between the leakage and no activity its starting to get to me. Thanks a lot for the information. Just had my first PSA check since surgery it was .05. Going to buy the pump this week. Can't do the shots. I hope the pump is just a short term solution.
