My daughter is BP. She is on 900 mg trileptal and 50 mg trazadone. She recently has had a difficult time concentrating, so her doc said to try cutting her down to 600 mg. trileptal. That was about 4-5 days ago. I've noticed that she'll be nasty and argumentative and then like 10 minutes later, sweet as pie. Is it possible for bp to cycle THAT fast or is it something else, like her just trying to manipulate me? I don't know if it's that the meds need to go back up.... or I need to wise up.... Help! I really don't know much about bipolar, so I'll take all the info I can get! If anyone else out there is on Trileptal - does it make you fell "foggy" at all? Thanks! I appreciate it!

Hi Jaclynann, I read this with my fiance in mind as he had said :jester:  the same things to me not that long ago. I have bipolar disorder too. Bipolar isn't Atypical for eveyone; differant people are affected differantly...my fiance also has noticed also that I become bluntly honest to the point of affending at differant times. There are some great websites that teach you as a caregiver to your daughter all the information you need the************ dot com is a good place to start.
You sound like a wonderful person; very patient and very loving your daughter is lucky to have such a wonderful advocate for her in times on need. Well done xxx
