Well, I have my first allergy test on wednesday. They told me not to take any allergy meds for 3 days before my appointment, so today was my first day without anything (i usually take tylenol allergy and sinus). I have been miserable all day! I don't know how I am going to make it through the next two days at work like this.....ugh. Just wanted to post and see if anyone else can reassure me that i can make it through till then...*laughs* Hopefully this test will tell me what is going on with me, and give me some options on medication that will work all the time, instead of hit-and-miss like my OTC stuff has been.....

Hi...............I know it'll be rough going without any meds, BUT........look at it like this............hopefully you will find out whats going on with you, and you can get something that'll help you all the time. I haven't been tested, but my GP put me on allegra..............it helped about 75% at first, but now, its only helping about 25%. Im ready to try something else. What are your symptoms??
You'll make it..............just think positive!!!!

You'll make it! Take a med with you to take as soon as they cut you loose. Let us know what you find. Good luck!

You can do it! I'm in the same boat. I've been a week without my Rx meds and 2 days without any. I get tested first thing tomorrow. I don't know why they can't do allergy testing on Monday, it would be so much eaiser 3 days to have it be over the weekend.

It will be so worth it once you find out your triggers!

My symptoms....pretty basic....stuffy/runny/itchy nose, usually on one side at a time, watery itchy eyes, usually on one side at at time, sneezing ALL the time, shortness of breath at times, when it is warm in the room, it is really bad....gasping for air almost..feeling like someone is sitting on my chest or something. Quite often I have the feeling of needing to take a deep breath, but it just won't happen.....and yawning all the time (not sure if those are allergy symptoms, but we shall see). That about sums it up....
