I have been on the pill for a year. My husband wants me off so I can get pregnant. How long is the waiting process and all that other stuff I need to know about?

It varies. Some women are able to become pregnant the same month as quitting the pill. It takes other women several months to become pregnant. Sometimes the hormones can be bad for the baby. My mother has had 9 kids and she was on BC too, so this is what she told me when I asked her the same question for future reference. petalz 10-28-2005, 01:03 AM You're supposed to be off the pill for 2 cycles before trying to get pregnant. It took me 2 years to get pregnant after 10 years on the pill but I was 31 when I conceived and had PCOD which can cause difficulty getting pregnant. Good luck! |
