STILL having pain..was taking hydrococone/apap for the pain but stoped because I started vomiting today. Dentist is gone till mon. so got my primary doctor to give trimethobenzamide for the nausea. Keeping down the antibiotic clindamycin now. The dentist also gave me metronidazole but another family member had taken that before and got ill with vomiting. (I only took one of the metronidazoles on thur) so don't know if it was the pain pills or the metronidazole that made me sick. I am hoping the one antibiotic is enough. but now I still have to deal with this awful pain. Would it have been better just to pull it? If he did a route canal mon. would that relieve the pain? It just has to be better than this.

Hi.
I read ur post and I just wanted to let you know that vomiting/nausea, dizziness/lightheadedness and sometimes fall sense of self are all side-effects of the hydrocodone. Hydro along with clindamycin could upset your stomach real bad so make sure you eat something an hour or so prior to taking these medications. If I were you, I would take this medications on separate occasions. It might help your body not to feel so overwhelmed with all those meds. Hydro should ease your pain after a few hours of taking it while antibiotics may take longer (days or longer). Your body needs to adjust with those meds and it should get better after a day or so. Hang in there and remember to eat and drink plenty of fluids as these meds could dry you out. Take a modest meal, crackers, or bread. Of course make sure you are not driving or operating any machinery when you take hydro.
Hope this helped. And things will get better.
