well, they are gone now. just had a bit of a scare. blood starting dripping out of my mouth when i got home, onto my white carpet of course! then it just came pouring out into the sink, but it says on my directions not to spit or anything, but how can i not. it was NOT bad though, i had my dentist perform the surgery, and i had nitris which kept me entertained. for some reason i kept picturing a caricature of a dentist yanking my teeth out, it was very entertaining! then i had to find this pharmacy which took forever due to construction, and now im finally home and changed my bloody gauze which was scary. and im still chipmunky looking. only problem is i have percocet and a prescription ibuprofen. i was told to take one when i go to bed and one during the day but i cant remember which one to take when http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif

what about antibiotics?? you need antibiotics!! take a perc and ib right now.. together.. get some frozen peas or corn, anything frozen that wont hurt ur face.. lay on each side for 10 minutes.. keep doing that every hour until tonight.. swelling is the worst on the 3rd day, depending on how bad these teeth were impacted.. keep changing gauze every 20-30 minutes.. send someone to the store for some chocolate milk.. nestle quick, anything relaly thick! drink as much as u can.. drink nice an easy, dont be afraid.. its hard to explain how i was drinking, i was like doing it with my tongue.. lol.. try not to do much sucking action when ur drinking.. this will coat ur stomach.. lay down and just relax.. tomorrow might be good, or might be worse.. just remember the 2nd night and 3rd day are usually the worst.. keep taking those pain killers every 4 hours.. just dont forget.. dont panic! dont smoke! no straws! start mashed potatoes on the 4th day.. i lived on melted ice cream with milk for 3 days.. oh yea JELLO!! i didnt want a dry socket.. and neither do u..
take it easy.. it will be over before you know it! just dont go crazy when u see how huge ur face will get.. its normal, u might think its not normal but it is!!

oh my GOD!!! i thought i was done with the swelling cause its gone now . and yep i have perc (but its a generic kind that he says is stronger) and my pain killer. right now i am feeling great!! i am laying down most of the time just watching tv, trying to take a nap. have been using an ice pack on my face, but i feel like i dont need it anymore, but then again i didnt realize my swelling was going to come back and possibly worse. tomorrow im supposedt o use a warm pack on my face and then rinse with salt water a few times. i have been drinking milk like crazy and plan to have jello and pudding for dinner. and im not looking forward to the 2nd night now, i totally thought i was in the clear http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif oh well, this so far isnt as bad as i thought. thanks for all your advice, i plan on checking back to report. everyone has to know that its not as frightening as it seems (not yet anyway *nervous*)

do u have anyone looking after you?? my husband waited on me hand and foot.. lol.. it was good to have him there to comfort me if i couldnt sleep.. u probably have hydrocodone or something like that. lucky you.. i had pink percocets that did NOTHING for me.. so yea i was in so much pain.. until my sister came over and brought me some demerol.. lmao! that was caarazy!! pain killers really keep you calm, and as long as u keep on taking them for the next 3 to 4 days you will be okay! just dont get hooked.. maybe you shouldnt take a nap just yet cause you might not be able to sleep good tonight.. try and stay up for a while.. dont be nervous! the more nervous you are the more pain.. do you have any stitches?? you know what stops bleeding, TEABAGS!! forms a blood clot in like 15 minutes.

Actually I have felt perfectly fine since maybe 3 hours after the surgery. I napped al ot yesterday and today I'm napping a lot too. My boyfriend is taking care of me but he knows I feel fine so it's hard to get him to be my slave http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif I keep taking my percocet which is actually making me pretty nauseous but it if means I won't feel anything in my mouth yay! I just hate this taste I have, I rinsed with salt water which my directions said to do , but it's still there even after brushing my teeth. I just hope this goes away soon. I can't wait til my mouth is back to normal. I do have stitches and haven't bled since yesterday so it's all good I THINK! i have to go back in 10 days for a cavity filling so if there are any problems i should know then id think!

Sounds like you had it much worse than I did !! It does hurt to open my mouth though, but for 2 weeks I'll be sore? holy balls! im so sick of this taste in my mouth, ugh! i did something bad yesterday though, i accidentally went to mcdonalds and drank out of a straw...oops i hope i didnt dislodge my blood clot or something! but i was told i dont look like i just had my teeth pulled, cause i have no swelling. my wisdom teeth were pretty much fully grown in so maybe thats something that made it easier. i mean one was sort of impacted and thats the one that hurts the most right now. i just cant WAIT til this is all over with!!!
