hi hi

i'm just quite curious and have always wondered....
is it true that when you was less than what you used to, your stomach shrinks? i don't really get it,cos how little do those people actually eat then in order for their stomachs to shrink? does it expand again?and when?

hope someone can answer my questions and bring my "wonder" to an end :)

The stomach shrinks and expands all the time depending on how much food you're consuming. There is no way to permanently reduce the size of the stomach other than through surgery. When I eat lightly for a few days, and then I try to have a big (or rather, normal-sized) meal, I often find that I get fuller quicker and can't finish my plate. But if I keep eating even though I'm already full, my stomach will quickly stretch back to normal.

Yes your stomach does shrink w/ the less consumption of food.......Actually your stomach is like a ballon.......The more you put into it the bigger it expands......If you usually eat alot at one meal....Your stomach wants to stay that full....But if you begin to eat less your stomach gets use to it....And the less you begin to eat the less you need to be full......I use to sit and gorge on food.......But I did have help with diet pills.......and that makes you want less food.....so my stomach shrank down........and I have been off them for over a yr.....and I still can't eat near as much.........and I am proud to say at 5'1 I went from right at 175 to 112 today........and have stayed that way........You just have to know when your stomach is telling you its had enough and really listen.......And yes I still eat just junk food.....But I stop when i am full....So it may be just 1/2 a burger.......and I just throw the rest away right then......where I use to think...I paid for it I'm gonna eat it........

oh,thanx for the replies

but how long does it then actually take for your a stomach to expand to normal again...can you only keep it small by only eating a little for the rest of your life?

Your stomach actually gets use to not having so much food being consumed so you just eat less on your own......It expands when you feel full but keep eating.....
