I usually struggle with bouts of insomnia, but I just remembered a couple episodes of me sleeping too much, like oversleeping for my 2 pm class.
About 5 yrs ago, I went to bed at around 3 am (normal for me) I lived alone and didnt set my alarm cause I didnt have to wake up early cause I didnt work til 5 pm on Monday. Well, guess what, I woke up at 8:30-9 pm!! I had messages on my machine from my manager..."Where are you???" I was sooooo embarressed and scared to go to work, but my bosses loved me and knew i didnt lie so I went back to work Tuesday and everyone just laughed at me (I was relieved..I was so scared of getting in trouble. i didnt even get a slap on the wrist). But I was soooo embarressed and teased for years! So I went to bed after work, around 3 am and woke up Wednesday at 6pm! My answering machine was turned down, but when I played my messages, there was one from my boss, where are you? (again) and one from my friend screaming into the phone: "WAKE UP!" When I went into work the next day, I was prepared for the worst and my knees were shaking I was soooo nervous, but my boss just laughed about it (they are very strict too) but they knew me, knew I dont drink or lie and I never miss work, so they were cool. I set my alarm every day for years after that...no matter what time I had to go to work.
It was so horrible..missing entire days!!! Its a very weird feeling. But I guess my body needed it.

Hey,

yeah if you slept that long I would say your body definitely need it. don't have a clue as to why you did sleep that long though...
