View Full Version : Feeling really awful

Hi All
Im feeling really awful, and feel a bit sorry for myself.
Since last Thursday I have been feeling weak, tired, really really achy, hot and cold. On and off I get sinus pain and my nose gets a bit bunged up, but it doesn't last long or is that troublesome. Im taking nasonex a nasal spray so maybe thats why I don't have much congestion. However some nights the congestion is so bad that I can't breathe and can't sleep. I have a headache on and off.

I went to see the dr and she said its a viral infection and to rest and drink lots of fluids. But a week later and I still feel just as bad. And now my throat seems to be affected - its not sore but my voice seems strained and high.

Any suggestions to help me get better please? I just want to get back to normal.
Thanks for listening.

Not sure where you live, but here in Texas the ragweed and fungus are really high and causing conjestion problems. Taking an anahistamine may help you. Try Mucinex, it is same thing as the plain Robitussin but much stronger and will help liquify mucous so the body can get rid of it. Mucinex comes in tablets. Be sure and drink plenty of fluids. If your throat gets sore at night, try taking 1/2 to 1 teaspoon plain Robitussin before bed. This will help thin muscous in throat.

HI Misty
Thanks for the reply. I am in the UK and all pollens etc are over for the year thank god. I will have a look for mucinex and robitussin, Ive not heard of these but maybe the pharmacist will know what they are.
Cheers.
