I just wanted to let you know that I have had the Lap Band Surgery done. I did it in May and to this day have already lost 55lbs. I have never felt better, it was the best decision of my life, I just wanted to give you all some advice or information if you are interested. Thanks.

Congratulations! i had the RNY almost 2 years ago. You are doing wonderful! My Mom is looking into the lap band.

Congratulations, changingmyways! You must feel great. Can you tell me a bit more about this - what exactly is lap band surgery? I've never heard of it. And do you mind me asking how overweight you were before the surgery? Thanks!!!

Deb, I just did a web search using the phrase "lap band surgery" and got answers to my questions about this. There's even a site where you can fill out a very short questionnaire to determine your eligibility for this surgery.
