wildcat66 10-29-2005, 12:00 PM Has anyone had any luck when using this? Sponsor Tesss 10-29-2005, 04:56 PM Ive read on another board where people were raving about this. On the inner ears disorders board they say its really good. I would love to try it, its just a shame I am in the UK. Bell99 10-29-2005, 08:34 PM Has anyone had any luck when using this? Don't waste your money, I did last year  I was giving it to my entire family (and it's not cheap) we were sick the entire month of October. It did nothing for us and my kids hated the way it tasted. molly123 10-30-2005, 01:08 PM I think it helps if you take right away when you think you're getting a cold. I took it when I first start feeling like a sore throat is coming and I ended up being fine the next day. It is expensive and they only come with about 10 sheltzers. You can find it online and it's about $3 cheaper. I don't think it does anything once the cold has already set in. molly wildcat66 10-31-2005, 12:08 PM Well at the time of my first post I was taking it to prevent getting the cold that other around me had and guess what it didnt work. I ended up with the whole 9 yards, coughing, sneezing, watery eyes. didnt work for me either. AGemini 10-31-2005, 05:35 PM I just bought the generic brand today at Walmart. It's called Germ Defense. I've only taken one so far and will take another one tonight before going to bed. You're suppose to take it as soon as you feel any kind of cold or flu symptoms coming on. I went into Walmart and told the pharmacist what my symtoms were and he suggested I try it. I feel a lot better then I did earlier today. The key is to take it as soon as you feel flu or cold like symtoms coming on. NancyH 11-02-2005, 12:15 AM Yep, I think it was just another way to dig into our pockets again, as a paranoid society we all want a magic pill to do away with every sniffle but what works on one person may not work on another. Everyones chemistry is a bit different so you have to try several products to see what works for you. I just eat right, take vitamins, wash my hands throughly especially if I've been in contact with someone who is coughing and sneezing. Hey, I haven't had the flu in 30 + yrs and one cold in 5yrs so it must work, I have a compromised immune system to boot. wildcat66 11-02-2005, 09:57 PM As I said a few post back it Didnt work for me and i started before i had symptoms as soon as i was exposed, at the moment i have a full blown nasty cold complete with sneezing my head off, hacking you name it ! rouge 11-03-2005, 10:54 AM I saw this tread right after I bought some AirBorn. I took it for 3 days 3X per day becasue I was feeling like I could get sick. Well, last night all of a sudden I was sick. The achey sickness with fatigue. I would have to say that the stuff does not work but maybe I took it to late?? Bell99 11-08-2005, 08:13 AM Not only does it not work my daughter broke out in a horrible rash from it last year. It looked like Fiths Disease all over her face. I took her to the Dr. and one of the first thing she asked was did I give her that stuff :nono: Big waste of money. Hating glasses 11-08-2005, 02:01 PM It works for me! If I pay attention to my symptoms and take it before it hits, I don't get the cold. I tend to have a cold for about 2 or more months when I get a cold and I used to get sick about 3 times a year. But, if I take the Airborne right at the start of my cold about 3 times a day, in addition to Zicam when it is in my nasal passages, my colds are shortened from 2-3 months down to a week or two. So, does Airborne work? For 29 years of my life, I would be miserable if I caught a cold for unbearably long periods of time. Now, I am healthy more than I am sick. In fact, I decreased my colds per year from at least 3 to one. It may not work for some people though so, this is just based on my experience and that of my entire family's. It has been a Godsend for me! Howitt44 11-08-2005, 06:57 PM Esberitox works great for me and my family. It is a form of echinacea with some other stuff with it. They are chewable and you take 3 every 15 minutes for at least an hour. I know that sounds like a lot, but it is worth it. My daughter is prone to colds and strep throat and literally within 2 hours her symptoms usually disappear. I usually have her take 3 doses anyway for a couple of days just to be sure. Ruth6:11 02-04-2006, 09:02 PM I've taken one Airborne tablet every day for a year. Prior to that I had pneumonia 3 times and pleurisy 4 - 5 times (I lost count & just started taking Aleve whenever I knew I had it again) Since I have been using Airborne I did have had ONE cold which did go into my lungs - but it never developed into pleurisy and pneumonia. My theory is that is did boost my immune system up a notch - and no matter whether it really did or not, the results are still A-ok in my book! |
