Hi.....Has anyone who has been dxd with FM experience a burning sensation on the back of their head? It seems to me I have read somewhere that "head burning" could be a symptom. I have not not been dxd yet but sure have alot of fm symptoms. When I get the head burning nothing seems to help it. (meds). I also am having alot of pain in my leg that constantly moves around. Sometimes the knee, calf, thigh or foot. It comes and go almost like labor pains. It either really hurts or does not hurt at all. It hurts to touch the area that is aching. All xrays of leg were neg. Thanks for
all you help. I think this is the one of the most friendly boards of them all..............Deb

Dear blues,
I have had the head burning, the backs of my arms in between my elbow and shoulder burn also. (very weird) I also get the pain in my legs, sometimes its knees, I get the elbow burns too. Just the elbows, no where else....(at that particular moment). That has been going on for a long time. I have been diagnosed with Fibro, and I just assumed that all of these things were part of it.
Will you be seeing a Rheumatologist soon? If not, there is an archive file somewhere on this board, called "The List". It is the most comprehensive list of Fibro symptoms that I've ever seen. Find it, print it out and take it with you when you see a doctor.
Good Luck,
a :)

I haven't had the burning in/on my head, but upper bacl, shoulders, lower back, feet and hands. When it really bad in my right elbow my rhum. pused on a few places around it and said tinnititis-tennis elbow, said a cortisne shot would help if it was tennis elbow. I am so thankful for that shot. It hurt like hell, med.in the shot did, but after the next day-, bit am I glad I got it. Apparently though all the other burning type pain is just my reg. fibro pain.

You know I have that burning sensation in my head, this just started recently,
In the summer I experienced a burning pain behind my shoulder blades, it lasted for about 3 weeks and then went away as mysteriously as it came, dr said that i had pulled muscles on treadmill, i was so upset about this, I also experienced terrible pain in my middle of back, i am just glad things seem to come and go right now, what I am scared of is when the pain stays and won't leave, i know that is coming next.

Hi Blues:
I've had the same burning sensation in various parts of my body. Right now I have it in my throat. It feels like I'm coming down with strep throat, but it never turns out that way. My fibro doctor told me the throat pain is referred pain from my neck bones. Hey, whatever, it hurts.
Be blest,
Kristin
