Hi ya Glojer,

First I want to comment on the post you wrote about your husband taking the ambien instead of his usual medicine. That is hysterical, I can picture you getting him into the hospital as fast as you can. Poor sweet man, being able to sleep when he is getting chemo. You know, it isn't a bad idea. Do they give patients anything to calm them during chemo?

I wanted to share with you something that a friend of mine did going through Chemo. She was suffering from real bad nausea and she took 1/2 cup of milk , 1/2 cup of olive oil...you can add chocolate to the milk for taste. She took it 1/2 hour before the chemo, I guess you could take it after also. I know it sounds gross but she swore by it. I spoke with another friend who had to go through chemo and she tried it and got great results.

Sounds like you and hubby are doing ok and you are strong. I haven't been well so I do not know if you posted somewhere about how things are, not to worry. I will hear from you when you can. I know that you have alot on your plate.

All my love and healing thoughts to help carry you through the day. :)

Peace and love, Hangin

Hangin thank you so much for thinking of us. Milk and olive oil does sound...yuk but I bet it coats the stomach and maybe helps with the upset. So far so good for hubby, one quick gag session yesterday and the nurses saw him and gave him a pill right away and that was that.

You know a friend and I said this would probably be the best chemo day he will have cause he will sleep through the whole thing. I just hope he wakes up by 4pm so I can get him home. May have to give him another ambien to sleep tonight. They do get a pill that is an anti anxiety anti nausea pill all in one that will make them a little 'I don't care..ish' but it also depends on the person. My hubby of course took the ambien and when we discovered he took the wrong pill, he then took the 'anti' pill.

I am going to have to realize with that chemo drug going through his body he won't be thinking as clear and make sure and double check everything.

Thank you for the good thoughts. It is so odd for me to be home all day without my hubby and I keep trying to do lots of little things. Right now I'm waiting for a load of clothes to dry so thought I would check in and spend my time with a few fibro board buddies.

Again Hangin thanks for the good wishes and I do hope you can get to feeling better soon. How has your hubby been doing? Any progress with the lupus for him?

Thanks blue for the energy. Hubby said he wanted an ambien everyday when he got to chemo so he could sleep through everything, he thought it was great. Of course he doesn't remember any of the morning and me trying to get him inside. This is day four of the five day (8hrs a day) session. We are both very tired today. Hubby did seem a little more alert, cause I'm making him go to bed early. He was a night worker and he just thinks he needs to stay up and every day when I pick him up he is spacey from the anti nausea drugs (and I'm sure some chemo) so I just 'bully' him and make him go to bed early. His head hits the pillow he is snoring. That is what he did the day he took the ambien, next morning some of his chair mates were saying your not going to snore today are you!
