Hello everyone,
For anyone that has lost weight on this, at what mg did that start? I didn't eat much the first couple days, but that certainly went away.
I started Topamax last week for migraines. I am still on 25 mgs once a day and I am taking that at bedtime. The first few times I took it I was very tired the next day. That lasted about 3 days. That has since passed. I was also not very hungry, that has since passed as well. No tingling, numbness, or dizzyness. Soda tastes a tiny bit funny, but I'm wondering if that's only because I read about that side effect on here and expected it to happen so I think it does??! I go to 25 mg twice a day tomorrow, the increase accordingly. I'll be interested in seeing if the side effects start in then.

I took Topamax along with Phentermine (both prescribed by a doctor for weight loss) and I just could not take the metalic taste that comes with it. I had tingling in my toes and fingers and just found the whole thing very annoying. I know alot of people who has done this, but as soon as they go off the medicine the weight comes back.

I took topamax & phentermine perscribed by a doctor... The topamax literally turned me into a zombie, just completely space out, no concentration & very depressed. I never had a headache tho! I was loosing weight yes, but the side effects were too much for me to handle.

Topamax is EVIL. I was on it for some residual nerve pain left from a back surgery.... and the reason people lose weight on it is because it makes you so flippin sick that you have no desire to eat!
I don't recommend it.
