Okay, some of you have read my various posts on my one swollen ankle. It's not bad in the morning, but it seems like my feet get tired when I stand or are on them for hours at a time. By them feeling tired, I mean they feel achy, or like the leg/or foot is starting to feel "tight" and they start to ache. Sometimes my feet feel warm, and sometime they are cold. Okay, here's what I have done about it:

I have seen 4 foot doctors...one said that I had a crack in the ball of the foot, one said I didn't, nothing was there, another said that I had a small overlap of a bone in the ball of the foot, and the other saw nothing that would cause any swelling. I had an MRI of the foot which said basically, that I had some arthritis, but nothing to make the foot swell just around the ankle and heel and a LITTLE bit across the foot, not much though.

Okay...I have seen a family Dr. in which it was recommended that I go to physical therapy which I am wanting to find out the cause and treat that...not treat the symptom.

I have seen a Urologist and he didn't seem to think my kidneys were the cause based on my symptoms and history.

I have also had a lung function test which confirmed my Asthma.

I have seen a Cardio Dr. and had an echo-cardiogram and that was fine.

I have had 2 venus dopplers on BOTH of my legs to check for problems there. That was fine.

GEEEES! What the heck could be causing this ankle to swell around the heel too? Right now, the foot feels sort of warm like I have been on it all day long, which I have but I have been on my feet for long periods of times before and never used to have any problems and now I do? I just feel that there is something serious going on that no one is looking at or thinking of. I have been dealing with this for 2 1/2 years! Does anyone have any suggestions of where I should go next or what to do? Elevating my foot doesn't do anything either. Thanks everyone for taking the time in helping me with this. I am just at my wits end with this!

Singer 1,

Have you had a EMG to see if it could be nerve related?THe nerves in the lower lumbar activate the feet,if one is pinched it will react in a manner that you describe.I have lumbar paraspinal chronic radiculopathy and it has effected my right foot. After 2 1/2 years it may be worth checking into it.

You may have plantar fasciitis, heel spur, achilles tendon problems, etc. Check out those and see if any are similar to your misery.
