Hi, I had my root canal done exactly 2 weeks ago from today,
and I still have a toothache! :-(
I went to the dentist last week and he took an x-ray and said that it's not infected and that I'm just sore from the procedure.
Well I told him that I have had root canals done before and all those times, my toothache pain went away, right away.
Well ofcourse he told me to give it a couple of weeks for it to heal.
Well tonight I went back because I just can't stand the pain any longer,
and he told me to wait a couple of weeks more and if the pain doesn't go away then, then he will refer me to a Endodists (spelling?)
to have the root cut off??
Will having that procedure, end my toothache???
It seems like the pain is getting worse, not any better.
And this pain isn't caused by any other teeth.
This tooth that I had the root canal done on, was cracked,
and it was causing me alot of pain BEFORE the root canal procedure.
Oh and I asked him to re-do the root canal and he said that he has done all he can for that tooth.
That it's up to a specialist now.
Well why doesn't he just refer me NOW to this specialist instead of having me keep suffering in pain.
Do you think that I should call up his office and demand the referall??
Has anyone else had that procedure done "Apicectomy" I think it's called?
