It is amazing to see that so many women are going through the same problems as I am. It is nice to know that I'm am not alone.

I am 27, when I first thought there were problems my first idea was I am too young for people to take me seriously about TTC. My DH and I have been together for 10 years and no babies. About three years ago we went in and they did not find anything even with HSG and SA. So we decided to try again. With no results I went to a different Gyn, she diagnosised me with PCOS and put me on clomid, two months later she added Metaformin (sp?) for my insulin levels. I have now gone through 6 rounds of clomid. Tomorrow I go in for injections, I think it is Gonal F. Next Wednesday I go in for the u/s and if the follicles are the right size, she will give me a shot to boost the eggs out. What are the odds that this will work? These injections are $176 dollars and insurance does not cover it. I guess this month we are going all out, if it does not work we are going to switch to Femara next month. Does any one else with PCOS take Femara and how is it going for you?

Thanks for listening ~

Rose,
I wanted to wish you and your DH lots of luck! My DH and I have been together for 13 years, married and actually TTC for 14 months. It's very frustrating, the older you get, the harder it gets to deal with infertility (in my experience, anyway). This site is so great for sharing stories and leaning on people who know how you feel. I have yet to actually meet someone going through the same things I am, therefore, NOBODY knows how it feels...it's nice to have someplace to come where everyone knows how you feel because they are all going through it. Everyone is so supportive on this site.
One question I have for you is, have they ever tested your husband? I am sure they have, just that you didn't mention it and it's the easiest test of them all. We have a male factor, so we have done IUI 3x with Clomid. Starting on Repronex this next cycle and another IUI. All I can do it pray!

Again, I wish you the best of luck and LOADS of baby dust coming your way!!!

He has had the SA twice. The first time was 3 years ago and they found he had an infection that made the sperm have coil tail. We joked that the reason we were not getting pg is because the sperm were doing little burn outs and not going anywhere. He tested again in July and they found his counts to be normal. Today I will get my 1st injection so we will see how it goes. Wish me luck, I'm not too crazy about giving myself a shot.

Best of luck to both of you, just wanted to let you know that I know how it feels to be young and have fertility problems. I was 25 when we started ttc and 28 when we finally did with (hope this give hope to you) gonal F and IUI. We did clomid two months with IUI and gonal F two months with IUI and the second gonal F try worked and we just had our first baby three months ago. It was a long road though, three years of wondering what was wrong with us. Turned out I had to have a fibroid removed and my husband had a low to normal count. Once the fibroid was out we tried on our own for four months then went to the IUI's. It can be soooo frustrating. My advice is to always try to do something that makes you feel like you are at least moving forward. And if you don't like what the doc is telling you, find another one. AND most importantly, seek the help of a reproductive endocronologist instead of a regular gyn. Their only goal is to figure out what is wrong and get you pregnant. Best of luck to you and also, these boards helped me tremendously, I had no one who really understood and it's so hard to deal with all your friends getting pregnant left and right when you want to be more than anything.
You'll get there. Keep up the positive thoughts.
Stacy
