Hey,
I'M 18 and brush regularly,
but recently i have noticed that it is *almost possible to see through one of my "2 front teeth".
and under the right light, it will apear as if i have something on the surface of that tooth and can be very embarrasing/annoying...
anybody have any idea on a cause for this, and most important, a salution??
thanks in advance!!
Garrett

i grind and now my bottom teeth are translucent too
gonna get porcelain veneers to cover and protect
if you grind maybe you did the same to the top front ones #s 8 & 9
go to a very good cosmetic dds
it will cost about 1300 per tooth but worth it
don't go cheap on the dds because the slightest error can get you into trouble
i had a veneer on #8 it fell off
dr replaced with a crown which gives more support
all was fine. i moved to another state and when the crown chipped i went to just any dr to get it replaced
his procedure caused a root canal which failed
i then went to specialists had another root canal and finally apical surgery!!!! (iam in recovery now)
all of this because i replaced a crown on a healthy tooth for aesthetic reasons. i am still in shock over the circumstances of my situation but realize it is atypical
so yes get it done i will on my lowers
veneers are more conservative and less invasive so there should be no problem
but if a dds wants to put a crown on a healthy tooth for aesthetic reasons, just know that shaving too much to get the crown on can expose the root lead to infection and cause what happened to me.
veneers are the way to go but find the best doctor no matter what the cost
though cost is not the only requirement and no guarantee, a doctor with a good reputation is not going to be cheap
good luck
