Hey,
I don't know if this is an allergy or not. For the past 2 weeks I have had uncontrollable itching. My neck itches, my ears, scalp, cheeks, stomach, legs, groin etc.. All of it. I just can't stop itching it and tonight I woke up itching like crazy and I had hives on my arms. They were just little raised bumps that were the same color as my skin. Each about the size of a poppy seed. Anyways, I can't get much sleep because of the itching and sometimes I itch so muc that my skin bleeds or the blood vessels pop. Any ideas?

Are you on any new meds? Are you possibly itching really bad in your sleep which is causing you to bleed etc. It could be a newly developed environmental allergy. You could also just have a really bad case of dry skin. Did you switch laundry detergents by any chance? Are you eating anything new that you can think of? If it does not go away I would go to your primary doc & maybe an allergist and then a dermatologist if you still do not have answers. you may also want to try some benedryl.

no, I did not switch detergents and I have not eaten anything new lately. It seems that the itching is the worst during the night while I sleep. I wake up itching my scalp, neck and stomach the most. I woke up just now (its 3 a.m) and I was itching my neck and stomach. There seems to be a rash from my neck down to my chest and ending at my stomach that is kind of diagonal. Also, I noticed that the area I am itching on my neck there is a little bump. Like a colorless pimple.
I was bitten by a tick last weekend but I was already itching before that, although the rashes never happened. The doctor said it was nothing (the tick bite) because it was only on my for under a few hours.
furthermore, I recently saw a doctor about red bumps on my skin near the bottom of my stomach (pubic hair line) that I had had for a year maybe but the bumps seemed to spread a little and they got really red and bigger. He diagnosed it as molloscum contagiousum. I doubt that they are causing my entire body to itch though.
Any ideas? Oh, and along with the severe itching and rashes I have headaches too. And I also am practically bathing in dry cream lotion but it doesn't seem to help much. (also my armpits its)
