I am having oral surgery on Wednesday. I plan to call my Pain doctor tomorrow and ask him if I would be able to get pain meds from my dentist after the procedure. Has anyone ever dealt with this situation and if so, what did your pain doctor say? I am worried that I will be in alot of pain and not be able to take anything extra. I am currently taking 15mg Roxicodone, 4 times per day. Any input would be appreciated.

but i think that if you accept the script from the doctor it will be conflicting with the script that the PM doctor prescribes. just wait and see what he will say and good luck

Kim: You don't say what type of oral surgery you're having, but I had the surgery where they go in and cut the gums back to prevent decay under the gumline. After having the surgery, the Periodontist prescribed Percoset 5/325. If you're already on 15 mg Roxis, I doubt they'll give you a script for anything stronger, unless it's really a bad, painful surgery.
Good luck and I hope the surgery goes well.

When I had my wisdom teeth out about 10 years ago I was given 5/325 Percocet too. I kept getting dry socket, so the script was extended from 10 pills to a months supply (30).
I remember the day after really well. I was watching a WW2 movie and fell asleep. I had a dream that they (the ppl in the movie) were drilling in my mouth for German gold.
