Linda5,
I have read your reply on the Gastric bypass thread vs lapband. I admire your integrity on what you have written. But, some red flags went up. And I am very worried about you and your blood pressure. I wanted to post this last nite, but didn't (we lost power in a storm).
Your bottom number on your blood pressure reading is VERY HIGH! Your bottom number should never be over 89. You are over that with a number of 95. Do you know what that means? It means, that you can go to bed and have a stroke and wake up paralyzed and be in a wheelchair for the rest of your life! And this is serious stuff. My husband has high numbers like that and his DR. warned me how serious this is. He told me that I would be taking care of a paralzyed man in a wheelchair if he did not get this under control. So, I push him to go to the DR's and get on the meds. He is fine now that his blood pressure is under control. As much as you don't want to take meds, this is nothing to mess around with. Do as your Dr. says. I'm glad to hear you like to go for walks and get some exercise, but do your heart a "favor". Those blood pressure meds will keep your heart from working so hard. I have a tachycardia, and my hubby and I are both are on BP meds. We'd be dead w/o them. I'm serious "as a heart attack" your bottom blood pressure numbers are too high to play with. Get on some meds for that. It'll be easier for you to tackle weight loss when your heart is under control for exercising. I'm sorry I am sounding so scary. But I am serious Linda. You need to get this under control.
