:confused: Can anyone tell me when a good time is to BEGIN charting. I'm reading the book Taking Charge of your Fertility, but it doesn't say to start at the beginning of your period or at the end of the cycle or if it doesn't really matter????

I started ( i think!) in the middle of my cycle. I thought that even if i didnt get pg that month then at least I would have a little something to compare to next months charting. Some women wait until the first day of af, i think its just more of personal preference. Its really good that you are starting to chart and learn more about your cycle. that book was like a bible to me!!Good luck!!

My doc told me when af starts. You will mark on your chart your temps and stuff during af. Good luck!

af is the 1st day of your new cycle so you should begin charting on that day in order to get a full months reading! Good Luck!
