View Full Version : Peak Flow Range???

Hi I was wondering if someone might be able to give me an idea about the range on a peak flow meter.( what should it be)?I am a 35 yr old female about 5'6" & 170lb :yawn: 2 yrs ago I had a severe case of pnumonia(sp ?) so now every time that I get sick and my breathing becomes labored i start to worry.I am currently on albuteral and the zpack for sinus & uri..Thanks in advanced

I can't find my book that has the peak flow chart in it, but if I remember right I think it's probably in the 420-450 range. My average (according to the chart is 380) but I am 48 years old and only 5'2". I know that it decreases with age and of course height plays a part also.

Your peakflow should be within the 490 range. I'm the same height and thats what my doctor said mine should be. :)
