View Full Version : pain reason?

I have a question. I not only have fibro but also osteoarthritis and I'm told I had/have another arthritis that goes along with Crohn's/Colitis, which I haven't had problems with in more than 20 years. thank God.
Ok, for several weeks, since in August at least I have hurt so much more and been so much more tired. How do I know which is flaring? Are there different things to help each one? I hate going to the dr., the arthritis or the o.d. I feel like I have to explain in detail why I hurt worse, where and the hows, ya know, steady, burning, throbbing, whatever. It isn't always the same ya know. Right now my whole body feels like it aches, deeply. Even my thighs, front and back, that's unusual. I feel like I would love to go to the e.r. for one of the shots I used to get when my migraines get unbearable. With them I after a little bit I feel nothing but a little fuzzy. Something has got to help. I take wellbutrin, cymbalta, vicodin, flexiril plus a whole slew of other meds not related to helping with pain. What do I do? If I call the arthritis dr. I don't know when I could see him and I'd rather see him than the reg. dr. I would really love to see a pain dr. but I'm told they wouldn't do much more than what the arthritis dr. does, prescribe vicodin and flexiril.
Sitting hurts, in any position, same with laying down, walking, anything, worse than I don't know when. It's not like an acute pain like you get when you break a bone, just constant, deep ache sometimes throbbing.
Any ideas greatly appreciated. Thanks
April

Do you have one of those pillows that you can heat in the microwave, a friend of mine told me about those and she lays them across areas that really affect her, i know that may sound like a simple idea but i had to try it last night on the back of my head and it helped eased the pain enough for me to finally get some sleep.

Good luck and hopefully you will feel better tomorrow!!!
