Whats the average time and how quickly can TMD progress?

I was diagnosed a couple of mos ago and had no pain then, just annoying crunch noises and bite problems..then about a mo ago, a slight jaw ache at night after lots of talking or eating..now jaw ache earlier in the day and more pain..

Recently made a consult w/aother local TMD doc and they couldn't fit me in for 2.5 mos, thought it would be ok, but this seems like its starting to progress quickly, think at this rate to wait that long I'll be in ready for traction, had to call them back and beg to be seen earlier.

was hoping to have more time w/this..but maybe not.
