I am looking for a surgeon that works in the southeast USA and has ( - removed - ) great expertise in osteoporitic bone fracture repair. My 72 yr old Mother has a spiral fracture of her humerus. She has a 20 yr hx of osteoporosis.

I'm sorry I can't answer your question and recommend someone, I'm much further north of your area but neither did I want you to think we were ignoring you! I hope you are able to find someone to help your mother. Have you checked Mayo Clinic in FL?? There are a lot of retirees in FL so there is a good chance that Mayo in Jacksonville has one or more doctors w/expertise in that field. Are you talking about the "glue" for the fractures?

The condition of her humerus requires more than just glue. I have tried Mayo Clinic's website without success in locating someone I may just call. Thanks for your response.

Then just call Mayo's main number if they don't have a listing for an orthopedic department. They'll put you thru to the appropriate secretary(s) until you get to the person best suited for your situation. I've done that w/Mayo in MN.
