I was reading some of the stories of your battles with sclc. My dad was just diagnosed about a week ago. He is 61 years old which is the norm I guess but its the worst news. One year ago he was in for tests thinking he had cancer and was given the clear and now a year later they say the cancer started in his left lung and wraped around to his right and to his lymph nodes. This type of cancer spreds really fast. On Thursday they are doing a test to see if it has spread to his brain. We can only pray that it hasn't. I recently got engaged and were getting married in six months every day I pray to have my dad here and healthy enough to walk me down the aisle, every little girls dream. I pray for all of the people who have told their stories and ask for your prayers as well.

I am sorry you are on the new, sad and rather stressful journey.
I would encourage you to savor every single day, to give whatever space is possible for your dad doing and being with what and who he loves. As each day is savored one, who knows how long that string of pearls may unwind...

I am sorry to hear about your dad. I took my dad (62yrs) to the hospital last week having a heart attack and during the xrays and Cat scans they found a Tumor in one lung that met. to the other lung and his nodes. We have to wait for 2 weeks for the Broncoscopy and until the middle of Dec for a MRI because of the stent. The docs told us they are 99.9% sure they just don't know exactly what kind it is
I know how you feel and the waiting.....the unknown is so hard not to dwell on.
I hope you and your family the best and that your Dad will walk you down that Isle.
