i need some good suggestions.....

i have dark brown wavy hair (sorta like shakira's waves).
I really want to know what i could colour my hair to without looking pretty weird, because i am sure you also know that there are colours that are a serious nó-no. should i colour my whole head, or should i put streaks/highlights in.i want to go lighter, but do not want to look funny

please could you give me suggestions?

First of all I would go with just super subtle highlights. You don't want to go streaky/chunky at all---that makes the job look super fake. One of the secrets to highlighting hair is to ask the hair dresser to finely weave the highlights into the hair instead of making them thick and chunky---also ask for partials instead of full. With this, it will cut down on touch-ups drastically, save lots of money and look extremely natural and glowy. I have semi wavey medium brown hair and get carmel'ish highlights to bring it to a more golden brown color--which looks great! :) With finely woven highlights, I only get my highlights done 2 maybe 3 times a year instead of every 4-6 weeks which can be expensive. And no need to worry about nasty roots showing within 2 weeks after getting your hair done!

As far as doing it yourself at home---Hmmmm I just wouldn't do it. Been there, done that and turned out to be a disaster! :) lol

I have curly hair and putting highlights in it makes it look dry. I do better with an all-over rich color. Depending on how curly your hair is, this might be something you want to take into consideration.

If you want to go lighter, and want lower maintenance, then highlights might be the way to go though.

Hi revlon dimension 10 min hair color is great! I have hard to manage hair an it does mircale on my hair on only 10 min

i am still really trying to figure out whether i should go dark or light...the whole eyebrow story (i have very dark eye brows) is freaking me out...dont want the new hair colour to look funny.

do any of you have really dark eyebrows....id you go lighter,what colour do you go (highlights)....do you put in 2 colours?or only one?

Hi once you dye your hair just lighten your eyebrow a bit with jolen creme bleach or any facial hair bleach they sell at the stores, yo lighten it for about 3-5 min and check them to make sure they math your hai color, I also buy a stencil f rmy eye brows and use a brunette shde powder from sally called savvy eyebrow kit, once i lighten my brows this helps define the and makes them look shapely and the colormatches perectly!

for at home highlights try the loreal styliste highlights in creamy caramel, its a great hihhtlight kit for brown hair!
