[COLOR=Blue]Ok I am new to the ttc board and i would like to say hello and good luck to you all!! First off like some i thought i wold never have to be here at 26 yrs old.. I would love for someone to be able to give me insight on my possible chance of ttc may be..so here goes some backgrouund on me..(sorry this maybe a little long) i am mainly a healthy 26 yr old female. back in sept of this year i had stomach pain for 2 weeks straight and ended up in the e.r only to find out i had a large cyst on my right ovary so the hospital called my gyno and made a appt for me to see her, i went apx 2 days later and they did a u/s and pap then gave me the choice to wait it out or have surgery,so scared she gave me a week and said i had to come back at this time. i waited the week went back to find out the cyst had grown even more in just a week and the pain was there now for 3 weeks (was very painful like kidney stones) she said she thought it would be best to avoid complications and do the surgery. I found myself the very next morning in the hospital waiting for my sugery ,when she got inside she removed my right ovary and my appendix (open surgery c-section cut)..but a few days before surgery the pap showed i had Chlamydia (not sure for how long ) but i was treated with antibotics for the infection ..so here i am scared that all this has scared me and my chances of ttc :( so i guess im looking for some insight as to what my chances and is it at all possible?? has anyone or know anyone that has been in the same boat?? aslo i would like to wait and ttc in april to have a early 2007 baby so maybe there is something that can up my chances from now till then.. sorry so long thank you for some advice or insight..God Bless you all ****baby dust *****

Hi and welcome! I'm sorry for your unfortunate surgery but it is good that they got that all out of you and that you are ok and healthy. Are you on any sort of birth control right now? if you are and you are really wanting to ttc in april i would stop them and just use condoms and spermicide if you are wanting to stop a pg. About the chlamydia, as long as you took the round of antibiotics as prescribed that should no longer be a worry to you. Do you possibly know who you got it from? and have you slept with that person since? if you have you might have contracted it again from him, in which case you and he will need to be treated to get rid of the infection. in order to prepare for a pg you should start taking prenatal vitamins, you can get them just about anywhere, u dont need a prescription. Start cleaning out your body and drinking lots of water. Another good thing to start now would be to start charting your temps in the morning. You do this at the same time each day throughout your cycle which will hopefully show you when you ovulate in your cycle, thus increasing your chance for pg. This will help you a ton in april when you have like one shot to have a 2007 baby, you will know almost exactly when to bd! plus if you notice any problems with your cycle you will have time to address and correct them by the time april rolls around.
I have had a couple of cysts on my ovaries also (none that required surgery-BC usually shrinks them) and I am pg so that shouldnt be a factor. I think you'll do fine just take care of yourself and your partner.
Thats all i can think of right now (its still early!LOL!);) I hope this helped you at least a little bit.
And if you are confused about recording your temps you can try an online search and find more info or you can go by your library or book store and check out the book by Toni Wheschler called taking charge of your fertility. It will explain things in more detail and give you examples to go by. Also has great charts in there and is a really helpful book.
Take care and good luck!!:)
