hey I am supposed to wear elastics for my braces right now but I can't and I don't know if I am ever going to have to. Do you know what they would do instead of elastics. I have an open bite and i think a cross bite. when I bite down my teeth don't line up and they don't all meet. I wouldn't have to get jaw surgery though would I? because my orthodontist said that when I first came in to see if I need baces he said my case was border line surgical.
