Im going to an oral surgen on Mon to possibly get my wisdom teeth out. I'm scared to death about being "put under" w/anestesia. Im afraid that I might have a bad reaction to it. Both of my parents had their wisdom teeth out and they had no problem, but I'm still very nervous about the whole thing. Or what if the anesthesia doesn't work and I cannot fall asleep or wake up during the extraction! If anyone has any advice I could use some. Thanks

Hi, I have some of your same concerns. I get my two bottom wisdom teeth extracted on the 25th with IV sedation. I totally trust my oral surgeon, he removed my top ones with just a local. One thing that scares me is the thought of feeling him pull the teeth. One top wisdom tooth came out easily, but the other one was more difficult(it felt like he was removing my nose along with the tooth). I'll be glad when mine are gone. I keep thinking about the end result, you'll feel so much better after they are gone.
Not every body has bad expeiences with their wisdom teeth extractions. My sister said it was a breeze, she said the IV stick was the worse part of the whole thing.
Are yours impacted? one of mine is. Let us know how it turned out. Good luck and take care
