hi everyone!
I've got all the symptoms of BV, but I don't have a gyn. that I see in my area (I'm at college, and I just go home whenever I need to see my Dr). If I try to make an appt with a new Dr. here it make take weeks, and I can't wait that long! I'm miserable!
Do you think that if I call my Dr. at home and ask for a prescription for Flagyl (sp?) they'd be willing to give it to me? Anyone do this before? Or do you think I'll have to see a Dr?
I actually saw her last Monday, but that was a few days before all this started! (it was just for a pap)

I know I don't have a yeast infection, because I'm had plenty of those in the past so I know what they are like. Its also not possible that I have an STD. Given these facts, is there any hope that a phone call could get me a presciption?

maybe the BV showed on the test results from your exam last Monday. Earlier this year I had a pap and asked for a STD screening. A week later my doctor called me and said I had BV and she asked me for the number to my pharmacist and called the prescription to my pharmacist.

Whether or not your doctor will call a prescription in depends on your doctor. I had a doctor who didn't even run any tests and simply wrote a prescription for a yeast infection. he asked me for the symptoms and whether or not i've had any in the past. i said yes and the only thing that works for me is diflucan.

another option is to see student health services at your college. it is usually part of your tuition. another option is to go to a clinic like planned parenthood.
