Is anybody allergic to sucralose? I had it today for the first time in orange flavoured, no cal bottled water. The first thing that happened was that I started coughing until I gagged and vomited. After that, I felt my throat constrict and I started to choke. Just wondering if it might have been the sucralose. I have noticed an increase in coughing fits lately, having had 2 fits so severe at restaurants that I had to retreat to the washroom. In the second one, the smell of javex aggravated the coughing into vomiting.

Are you allergic to Chlorine? Sugar is distilled with chlorine to make sucralose so that may be the culprit...or it may just be the sucralose. Lots of info out there on artificial sweetener sensitivities.....

I think I may be allergic to chlorine, Titchou. I have to stay away from the pool when my husband shocks it. Thanks for the info. Chlorine. Yuck. To think that I actually drank a bottle of it.
