Yes my dad usually once a week goes to the bathroom but he has the worst pains in the rectum ive ever seen and they last for like a day or 2...and when he does go to the bathroom, honest to God its big as a cow , its huge..he does have anemia ...and he does have a kidney condition causing fluid retention,He has Diabetes but not real bad and he has high blood pressure. He takes about 20 pills a day, hes very weak and tired and he has lost all of his muscle literally, hes bones and skin jus fat is hanging this man has laid down for a year and has done nottn so thats his own fault.I honestly dont even know where to post this thread out but whoever can give me some advice i really appreciate it.Jus recently 2 days ago he basically crapped himself and i think lost control , and hes been laying down ever since he also has stomach cramps and always wants my mom to rub his stomach ...and today on his underwear was some dry blood not alot but enough to see...I just dont know wat to do this is a bad situation i honestly just wanna leave ..believe me ud understand if u were in my shoes thanks for your help

I think he needs to be seen by the doctor as any bleeding from this area can be dangerous. Would he be willing to take metamucil or some other form of psyllium laxative? If not could you get him Docusate sodium (colace, DSS)and take a big dose under the doctors direction. Another idea is MOM every three days without a BM. Im thinking that by 7 days without BM the stool gets so hard and dry that its bound to cause him really pain.

BPJD36, how old is your Dad?? Are you his caregiver? I feel that he must be feeling sort of like "What's the use"? That is like depression and he sure has reason to feel depressed but he needs someone to get to root of the problem and then to counsel him and I would think that if he had good health care then you would see a big difference in his attitude and in other aspects. I really feel for him and hope that you can get him the help he needs.
