Hi all, my best friend was too embarrased to ask this question on a public healthboard, so, I am asking for her. She doesn't know what is wrong but she knows something is. She and her husband had sex one night and she had a little too much to drink and experimented around with ice. Her husband penetrated an ice cube into her and I guess he kept it in there until it melted and now she is experiencing some itching/irritation (mild she says) and when she looked down there, she said that it looked like part of the clitoris looked shiney red and that there was a little bit of white stuff under the hood of the clitoris and a little bit of white-clearish stuff that comes out of the vaginal area every now and then. She said that it sometimes feels very moist down there and that as she puts it, she "leaks" sometimes. (We've been friends for 20 years so she feels comfortable talking to me) I told her that I thought it was a yeast infection but then she said that took a diflucan and she still is dealing with it so, I don't know. Any suggestions for her?

I'm wondering, would the ice cause her to have to much moisture in that area thus causing a yeast infection? I always thought when women had a yeast infection, they would know it! By that I mean, intense itching, pain, etc.. (Knock on wood), I don't really get those so maybe I am way off here. You mentioned bacteria on the ice cube, if that were so, if she ingested it by itself or in a drink would that have given her a yeast infection in the mouth? I know that she uses those bags of ice that you buy in the stores if that make any difference. I guess poeple can get bacteria on their ice through their own ice machines at home. Gees, I never thought about that until now.

Thanks Mrscarlh! Hope others reply to this so I can give more feedback to my friend. I am not familiar with yeast infections or UTI's, so is there anything that she can do to help herself?

Call me dumb, but do you mean for her to shampoo the genital area? How did you har of this for yeast infections? Just curious on that. I am always wanting to learn new home remedies myself. :bouncing:

My friend wanted me to ask this also. She says that when she looks at the vaginal area by pulling the lips apart, she said that the inside of her vaginal lips are kind of white but it doesn't scrape off. Is this normal looking? I didn't know nor did I look at mine, not that I could see anyway. Thanks everyone!

Just curious, where did you hear about the baby shampoo remedy for yeast infections? Exactly what does it do?

The baby shampoo doesn't cure the yeast infection. It's just that soap can cause a burning sensation while you have a yeast infection and baby shampoo is very mild and won't do that.
