I have had these really bad pains below my navel for the last three days and they have gotten worse. Yesterday i really noticed them getting more painful throughout the day and into the night. Last night my entire abdomen was hurting. Sharp pains on my upper right and left sides, under my rib cage especially on my left side and if i pressed on, below my navel this pain would shoot up my under my ribs to my chest. Also, like the area where my appedix is on both sides were hurting really badly. Today whenever i get up from my chair below my navel i get that sharp pain but it isnt as severe as before. Now my period isnt due for another two weeks, so its not that. At times i thought it might be coming because some of the pain felt like the cramps i would get. The first day i started having the pains i thought it was like... gas but its not helping with the pain.
So does this sound serious at all?

Hi,
I just wanted to tell you that i have the same kind of pain around my navel. I've had it for almost 8 months now. It comes and goes throughout the day but its every day. It's just like you described too with pain under my ribs once in awhile too. I have seen many doctors for it and I have also been diagnosed with endometriosis but my gynocolgist suggested that i go see a gastroenorologist to look inside my stomach. She says that kind of pain is normally not related to endometriosis and so she thinks it could be something wrong inside my stomach intestines or something. I go to see the gastro doc at the end of this month. Have you seen any doctors for your pain yet?
Sincerely,
Jenny

i actually just got back from the doctors...and he told me that it could be a urinary infection...so i gotta go back tomorrow and give him a sample..but he also said he doesnt really know what else it could be..so if it doesnt get better he told me to get an ultrasound (for my pelvis)
but u know i wonder if it is gas problems..like before if i didnt have gas i would get this sort of pain but it would go away after i did it...soo i dont know wats wrong......wish it would go away so i wouldnt have to worry about this kinda of stuff.

i would see a gyno and a gastro doctor. rule out anything with the reproductive organs and then check to see if it's IBS or something in the intestines. i just had all kinds of pain just like that...turned out to be an IBS flare up from taking meds (from an infection). i would go see the doctor(s) as soon as you can so you don't worry about it. i know i worried for 3 weeks and the worrying alone wore me out.

i doubt it! have you been tested for STDs (although this doesn't sound like PID or anything)? why would you think you did something wrong? i'm sure it's just something that your body is going through. you're not alone. read the boards here! we all have some "issue". hehe. don't worry too much but get it checked just in case and esp for sanity. :)

I would call your GP and have them check you out first. If it is realy bad go to the ER.
It could be anything from gastritis to Hernia to Endo.
But YOU realy shoud be seen by a doc.

I was also checked for urinary tract infections, one two many times when I myself even knew I didn't have one. Usually when you have a urinary tract infection it burns and hurts bad to go pee (it did with me atleast the time i did have one). Then they checked me for ulcers, than did a complete ultrasound of my stomach. Everything turned out to be negative. It really sucks having to go through all those tests when they can't find anything! I was then told that it could be ibs but i didn't want to take the laxatives so i didn't....( I myself didn't think it was that, and thought it was more related to endo). But i guess i was wrong. Sometimes that kind of pain can be related to endo, well if the endo is on your digestive organs but it wasen't on mine. Do you have any other symptoms that could possibly be endo like really bad cramping, lower back pain, or pelvic pain? Well it might be what i have which i dont' even know what it is right now. After all of these tests ur having, and if they all turn out negative they'll probably refere you to a GI doctor. If you wanted you probably could see the GI doctor first, but its up to you. I can't wait to finally go to see the GI doctor, they know more about stomachs and should be able to pin down what is causing my pain (atleast i hope!). It's been going on for far too long! I hope they can find something sooner with you! Good Luck on your process!
Sincerely,
Jenny

Since the pain is under the ribs on both sides I think what you have is intestine pain. I have this pain sometimes. But definately get checked out with your GYN and maybe a referral to gastro doc. Good luck.

The burning and itching sounds like it could be signs of a yeast infection. A lot of women get yeast infections as a reaction to antibiotics. You should get that checked out. You should also tell your doctor that your uti has cleared up but that you are still having pain. IF the bladder infection is gone and you still have pain then it sounds like the pain is being caused by something else. But you should get that AND the burning and itching checked out.
