Are these real physical problems or do you think there are some psychological factors involved? I would take it one at a time, if your back hurts, tell the doctor where specifically. I don't think it's uncommon to have certain types of arthritis or rheumatism at a young age, it is something that can definitely be treated.

I'm 60 and feel like I'm 70. Knees hurt, hard to make stairs, insomnia,
anxiety, backaches, mild depression.
The Golden Years are anything But. I was VERY HAPPY between the ages of 2 to 40. After 40 it's all been downhill. Take every vitamin you can dream up to no avail. I go to bed at 9pm, don't work, kids healthy but life holds little joy anymore. Best friend died, mother had strokes then died, father lost his mind then died. It all adds up. Wanna trade places? If I were 18 again I'd be out every night dancing again, dating, giggling on the phone til all hours, dreaming of my future with Mr Right. :)
Better start having fun now before it ends.

Hello SusanGene,
I am 47 already and I understand what you mean. And it is true that once you reach 40, all starts going slightly downhill. I train however on a regular basis. I do have a bursitis on my right hip. I had an injury during a karate practice 15 years ago. So, yes my body hurts every now and then. And I lost both my mother and my father within 10 months this year. It is horrible. This is the real pain. My son is only six years old. I hope I stay in good health long enough to see him grow. And yes, if I could start all over again, I would party more and enjoy life more than I did. Once you are gone, you gone.
Bye for now.

Tashia - If you hurt, you HURT. It doesn't matter if you are 18 or 80. I had a student a number of years ago who was so afflicted with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis that she had many days she could hardly walk. She missed a lot of school. I think she was about 16 the first time I had her in my classes.
Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis is one possibility of something that could cause a great deal of pain at your age. Look that up in a web search to see if the symptoms match yours. You might start here:
Where is your pain? In the back? In the knees? In the joints? Maybe look up "pain back" or whatever. I don't know exactly what to search for, but try to find a combination of words that fit your particular problems. Read through enough that you can find some possibilities of things which describe what you are experiencing.
Talk to your friends. Ask them if they have these same symptoms.
Are you still in high school? If so, ask to see the school nurse. Tell her about your symptoms and ask her to try to convince your mother that your pain is something which should be checked out.
Talk to your mother. "Look, I hurt. This is not normal. My friends don't have these kinds of pains. Here are some print-outs of some of the possibilities of things that can cause this pain at my age. I am not saying I have one of these, but I know I hurt and think a doctor needs to take me seriously."
Think maybe that will help?

Do a google search, or better yet, take a look at the section on this board, for fibromyalgia. It's a long shot, but all over pain is one of the major symptoms, it often develops starting about your age, and is often overlooked and not taken seriously by many doctors who aren't educated on what it really is.
Hope that helps, and good luck! Hope you feel better!

Hi Tashiatabee, alot of illnesses are brought on by our diet. Try eliminating all processed foods from your diet, such as sugar and white flour. Eat lots of fresh vegtables, fruits and salad. The important thing is to eat as much natural foods as you can. See how you feel in a couple of weeks.

Hi Tashia,
You say your pain is not joint related, but all over. This really sounds muscular to me and those types of disorders are harder to diagnose.
I felt the same way you do from the time I was a young child till I was almost 30. When you said you feel as if you've been beaten, that just rung a huge bell with me! That's exactly how I felt! I would lie in bed just racked with pain but since I didn't know any better I thought everyone felt like that.
Eventually a doctor got suspicious and got me enrolled in a research study that did a DNA test. They found a mutated gene in my DNA that causes connective tissue disease - which explained all the pain. There's no cure but I manage it better now.
Those DNA tests are very expensive so I don't know how to get you one but your doctor might know how. I would pursue this because you need to find out WHY you feel this way. The pain has a crippling hold on your future.
~Good luck~

Yes, she said she has JRA.....but hasn't said if they have her on a regular regiman of meds and whether or not she is compliant about taking them. It's difficult to read her run on sentences and figure out what she's saying....

If you have been taking lots of antibiotics you need to take some probiotics because you may have an intestinal fungus problem that is compounding your problems. Probiotics include active culture yogurt you can buy in grocery stores as well as bacteria pills you can get in a health food store. Both of these will help to restore the "good" bacteria you have killed with antibiotic use. This bacteria will eat the fungus for lunch, and restore a balance between fungus and bacteria in your gut.
It takes a few weeks to begin working, but if you are suffering from a yeast/fungus infection you can see improvement in muscle/joint pains, fatigue, and memory/concentration.
Other signs of infection are: sore tongue/lips especially eating salty or spicy foods, white tongue in the morning, red somewhat sore throat and fatigue that gets worse after eating sugar (yeast loves sugar so you need to cut down on the sugar for a few weeks as well).
