I don't have a dentist. I saw one a few weeks ago and will never, never go back there to that office.

My teeth have been in basically bad shape for a long time. For about a week now I just haven't felt good and couldn't really put a finger on what was going on other than I just felt bad. I still do.

I've been nauseated and feel weak, just real tired and almost feverish. I've had an earache as well and noticed what I think are maybe some small enlarged lymph nodes along the side of my jaw on the right side.

Today at work I really felt rough. I looked in my mouth because I kept thinking I had a canker sore or something because the right side of my tongue hurts but couldn't find anything there.

I did notice some white/creamy looking stuff along the back side of my lower right molar wayyyy back in the back. The last molar. I don't have my wisdom teeth.

It wasn't alot of it. Just a little and it seemed to be coming from up under the tooth itself but I didn't see a boil or anything you would associate with an abcess. Just the yukky looking stuff and it wasn't much. I didn't even feel anything burst. It was just there.

I pushed along the gum trying to get something out if anything was left and couldn't. I got home a brushed my teeth really good and I still didn't notice anything.

That particular tooth is heavily, heavily stained. I'm a big coffee drinker but the tooth doesn't really hurt. It may be a little tender, but it doesn't throb or anything. All that hurts is my right ear and if you were to draw a line from that tooth to the outer edge of my jaw, that particular area is extremely tender!!! Plus that's where the lymph nodes are also sore and puffy but not huge. They're not visable but you can definately feel them.

I'm pretty sure that tooth may be infected but I don't know what to do. I just don't feel good. I can tell you that much. Plus, it's the holiday. I couldn't get into a dentist anyways. I don't have any antibiotics either. I'll be lucky to get in to see a dentist on Friday.

Could it be an abcess without the tooth itself throbbing and could that be what's making me feel so gross and cause my ear and jaw to hurt?

I haven't been myself lately and it's bothering me. Like I said, I can't be certain it was pus. I didn't see a bump or anything. But it was definately creamy looking stuff around the backside of that tooth just not much of it and I didn't notice anything weird around any other tooth.

What do you all think? Can a lower molar cause the ear pain and make you feel bad if it's infected?

You could have a tooth infection, medically known as a TOOTH ABSCESS. Look into it and see if your symptoms match.

Hi kortney

I have had the same kind of pain for about a month now despite antibiotics, i had my mouth x-rayed and a root canaled tooth is infected but not abcessed. I don't know whether your tooth is root canaled or not but this does sound like an infection and you nedd treatment. I know you have had problems with finding a dentist you can trust and i do know how hard it must be for you but you do have to try again. I had the first infection in this tooth over a year ago and the first time i took antibiotics it went away completly(or so i thought) then bang it springs up again and the more i take antibiotics the more immune the bacteria gets, i am currently on my 3rd lot of antibiotics for the current infection and it is making my life a misery. I also have a phobia of the dentist and don't have much trust in them but from what others have told me if we just leave things as they are then they will get much much worse. I am now being dealt with through a dental hospital as i just couldn't go thorough treatment at a normal surgery. I don't know how many more dentists you have left to try in your area (The last one's behavior was disgusting wasn't it) but there must be someone out there even if it means having to travel a little. Can't any of your family or friends recommend anyone? to you.

Anyway please let me know how you get on

Kind thoughts

Until you get a chance to see a doctor or dentist, rinse your mouth out about two or three times with salt water. See if that helps....
