I've been reading about Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy online, and I am concerned I may have symptoms.

About a year ago, I started having this problem at the base of my neck, under skin, moving up the back of my head and radiating out. It starts as an annoying feeling and before week is out it is outright pain. After a week, it goes away and comes back again in 3-4 months. Severity varies. Seldom does anything help alieviate symptoms except sometimes pressure applied to some points slightly relieves pain/sensation temporarily. Sometimes pain toward end of week is across shoulder. Cant keep head in normal position without pain. Sitting/laying with my head back is more comfortable, especially against a neck support pillow. In previous episodes, I have had the feeling down side of my face. I am diabetic, have glaucoma and cataracts and thyroid problems. I have spoken to my doctor about this, but nothing... Two years ago I had a bad fall on my face and broke nose and muscles in my eyes. HELP! Anyone with similar symptoms, please reply. Thanks.

Peripheral neuropathy refers to neuropathy in the hands and feet, not the head or spine.

It sounds more like it may be a pinched nerve, or simply a "crick" in the neck. Have you considered either chiropractic or massage therapy?

diabetes causes several forms of neuropathy, peripheral is just one of them.

try Insulow or Glucorell (R+ lipoic)

though agree that a pinched nerve is also possible, even so R+ lipoic will reduce other issues related to diabetes.
