i've been off the pill for about a month now, my gyno says it okay to start trying now but i have heard that some women need to be off for months what's the deal? is it safe?

My doctor told me that same thing. He said that my chances were higher of getting prego soon after stopping it. I guess because everything is going crazy. But I didn't try soon after, I waited about 4-6 months, that was two years ago..... So I dunno... everyone is different.

My daughter who is ten, was a wonderful accident. I was on birth control and got pregnant. I really dont see why you would need to wait. If you get pregnant you get pregnant. I know alot of women who went off and got pregnant right away and had wonderful pregnancys.

My gyn said you have to wait 2 men. cycles before trying. Its because then they can tell you the exact day of delivery.

my dr told me to wait until i was off bc for 3 months before I ttc. I kind of regret doing that, because the more i read, it only prolonged my goals and planning. Basically I found out that they can chart your preg better if you have a regular cycle. The other reason I regret it is because I didn't have side effects from going off the pill until month 4, so I wonder if I could have ttc sooner, and now I have to wait b/c now AF is screwed up. Oh well, when its meant to be, right?
