Okay ladies, I have a question for all of you..I had a groin pull years ago which acts up off and on. I can feel the tendon sticking out and a little "ball" at the end of it near the pelvic bone. It was hurting SOOO bad last week then I got my period on Friday and the pain is almost gone. Does anyone have any idea what causes that? I have been going through this for quite some time and thought some of you might go through the same. Thank you in advance!

Hi!

Are you sure it's not something else, like a hernia or cyst? Just to be safe, you might want to get it checked out. Sorry I don't have anything more productive to offer.

It sounds like a hernia to me too, but you'd need a checkup. I've had pelvic pain for several months now...noticed hard places in the area from time to time. I'm having a diagnostic laparoscopy on Wednesday to see if I have adhesions or endometriosis or something else causing pain. It sounds like you need to get yours checked out too.

thank you ladies...no it is not a hernia as i had this BEFORE my hernia surgery and while he was in there he checked to see if it was a hernia. I dont know what it is.....i am keeping a journal of when it starts, stops, severity, etc...doc said it is just a tendon problem but why is it better once i start my period? I guess iti s just another mystery of my body!

Maybe endometriosis? My pain seems to go away for a couple of days during my period too, but it comes right back the day I finish my period. I'm having my surgery tomorrow...if they find endo, I'll let you know. It might also be scar adhesions from your previous abdominal surgery...that might be my problem too because I had a C-section many years ago. It's good you are keeping a journal.
