I got sick 25 days ago and I just can't get rid of it. One day I'll feel so much better, then the next day my sinuses will be killing me. Then the next day I'll be coughing non-stop, and the next day I'll start to feel better, etc. My body aches won't go away, and the phlegm i cough up is yellow-green colored.
Normally I wouldn't be that concerned, but (1) I've never been sick longer than 7 days before, and (2) in the past two years I have only been sick for 2 days. I never get sick, and when I do its nowhere near this long.
My symptoms over the 25 days and counting are sinus pressure, watery eyes, nasal congestion, runny nose, body aches, headaches, sore throat, constant coughing up yellow-green phlegm.
I do have a doctors appointment scheduled 2 days from now. I haven't exercised at all this past month, but I can't take being lazy anymore so I'm gonna give it a try tonight. Any thoughts on what I can possibly have?

I've had this flu going on 3 weeks; the "worst"!! And I'm not "doing" anything but resting. Started getting worried, but read there's an epademic of this in several states.
If I try to go out, I pay for it big time!! I'm going stir-crazy.......

But I have exactly the same thing one day you fell better the next day your aweful, stuffy nose, runny nose, sinues killing me, coughing up things all the time. Oh man I feel for ya. I am on antibiotics now.

I read somewhere on the net, the US is experiencing some sort of sinus/head cold bug. More Dr. offices are seeing this and prescribing antibiotics without results for 4-8 weeks. I, myself, have had a sinus bout since the first of November. It gets somewhat better for ONE day and then back to the same thing, blowing, nothing comes out productive, headache, and I sound like a twangy country singer when I talk. Have been on 4 different antibiotics and a round of Prednisone, which I think did help some. I go back to the ENT the 19th for a repeat of CAT to see if it's clearing up. I also have some other things going on, so my Insurance Co. is probably going to revoke me. The CAT scan was 1400.00. So, if the Dr insists on having 2 done, WOW. Just thought I'd let you know you are not alone. I have never had a bout like this before. You know all the things to do to help, nasal saline spray is good all day long, I have been using Rhinocort nose spray, hot pack on my face, and make sure you have enough humidity in your house. I, however, thought too much humidy made mine worse, who knows. Good luck. J

Did anyone get better? How long did it take to feel better and what did you use?
I have had this mild cough/congestion/body aches/sweating for about a month now and I don't know what to do. I wonder if I will ever feel normal. My doctor says that it is bronchitis and will go away in time. I feel awful and wonder if I am missing anything.
I hope that you can help.
Thanks.

I came down with a horrible cold one week ago today and am still suffering as much as the first few days. Sinuses, throat, can't talk without extreme discomfort, and I have awful weakness of my whole body.
I did see my doctor today on an unrelated matter and she just acted matter of fact, and told me these colds are lasting a couple weeks or more! I am glad I don't have to go out to work because I would not be I can tell you right now. I even had heart palpitations wake me up in the night due to the virus. I was scared and went to get an EKG which was normal.
